Event was held in The City of Arts and Sciences - cultural and architectural complex which is one of the 12 treasures of Spain. When seen live, it captivates with its huge scale, providing an alien feel and at the same time the smooth, organic shapes and natural patterns.
Accompanied by HATA co-curator Michelle Rennerová, our first steps led to an interview of HATA artist Bay Backner with Sam Hamilton, Creative Director at Decentraland. In addition to an engaging talk about the production of events at Decentraland, I was again astonished by the community web3 spirit and Sam's offer to be available at any time with the entire team for those who would like to produce a metaverse project of their own.
We later met with Bay in person and this lovely encounter reminded me why it is so worthwhile to build this new web3 industry, even though it is sometimes challenging. Bay Backner’s Decentraland project was exhibited, alongside with another HATA artist Ivona Tau.
The conference was filled with great speakers, be it NFT producers, web3/metaverse project leaders or artists. Our task was to look through the exhibiting artists and listen to the thoughts of those who were performing at the conference for possible future collaborations.
As the HATA NFTs shall remain unrevealed, we have provided just a sneak peek to artists' visions for the future of art, featuring artworks by Bay Backner, Ivona Tau, PosterLad, Florencia S.M. Brück, Sasha Stiles, GlitchOfMind and Charles Clapshaw.
NFT Show Europe was a multisensory experience with interactive & experimental art, engaging lectures and panels, presentations of international projects and networking opportunities.
